King Center marks anniversary of March on Washington

ATLANTA -

People visiting the Martin Luther King, Jr. national historic site in Atlanta on Wednesday joined one of the many bell-ringing ceremonies held nationwide on the 50th anniversary of his "I Have a Dream" speech.

The experience was a moving one, and some people paused to stop and watch a live broadcast of the ceremonies in Washington, D.C. as they made their way through the memorial.  Some in attendance told FOX 5 that being at The King Center on the anniversary made it even more special.

Some who attended said they were from out of state, and had made a special trip to be a part of the day's events.

FOX 5's Deidra Dukes was there for the special observance.  Click on the video above to watch her report!
