MARIETTA, Ga. -

Twenty-five members of the 80th Port Squadron touched down at Dobbins Air Reserve Base Tuesday morning after a six-month deployment to the Middle East.

The reservists arrived about 11 a.m.  Loved ones awaited their arrival with Welcome Home signs and cameras on the ready. Numerous extended hugs and kisses were exchanged as parents embraced their children and loved ones welcomed each other home.

The unit provides highly trained citizen airmen who execute versatile and reliable C-130 operations. The wing recruits, organizes and trains Air Force reservists for active duty in time of war, national emergency or contingency tasking.

The remaining members of the unit who are still overseas are expected to return home to the U.S. next month.
