CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are searching for a teenage girl who is missing from her Northwest Side home.

Amanda Bivins, 14, left her home in the 3600 block of North Overhill Avenue over a "discipline matter," according to an alert from Area North detectives.

Bivins is described as a 5-foot, 104-pound white girl with brown hair and hazel eyes, police said. She frequents Hiawatha Park and other areas nearby.

Anyone with information should call detectives at (312) 744-8200.
