CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Police officers, business leaders and kids are spending the night in a Chatham Park.

Dozens of kids are camping out at the fourth annual "Peace in the Park after Dark" event Friday night. They learned how to set up tents, roasted marshmallows and played games until it was time to turn in.

On Friday morning, the kids will all get breakfast and a free backpack filled with school supplies.

The event honors Chicago police officer Thomas Wortham, who was murdered in a street alongside Nat King Cole Park.
