CTA Red Line rerouted after smoke reported near Roosevelt

CTA Red Line trains were being rerouted early Tuesday afternoon after smoke was reported in the subway tunnel near Roosevelt Road, authorities said.

Trains were rerouted along the elevated tracks between the Fullerton and 35th stations, according to the CTA.

Trains were making stops along the Brown Line tracks to the Merchandise Mart, where they then operated along the Lake and Wabash tracks in the Loop before continuing to the Roosevelt station.

No injuries were reported.
