Alice Braga: It's Sci-Fi, But With Heart Underneath

Posted: Updated:

Alice Braga was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil; she speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish and English; and she's no stranger to the world of film acting.

Both her mother, Ana Braga, and her aunt, Sonia Braga ("Kiss Of The Spider Woman"), were actresses and as a young girll Alice (accent on the second syllable: A-leese) would accompany them to film sets.

Her experience on the set of her latest movie, "Elysium," was a good one, and she shares some of the highlights with Steve Edwards and Maria Sansone on Good Day L.A.

And did we mention she's beautiful?

Fun Facts About Alice Braga:

  • She is a Brazilian actress. She has appeared in several Brazilian films, most notably as Angélica in 2002's highly acclaimed City of God and as Karina in 2005's Lower City. She has also starred in the Hollywood movies I Am Legend (2007), Repo Men and Predators (both 2010) and The Rite.
  • Braga speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish and English.
