A 28-year-old fugitive wanted for killing a man during a car accident and then leaving the scene was found in Mexico on Friday.

Pima County Sheriff's Office says Mexican authorities found and arrested Reyes Jovany Miranda for the 2011 death of 25-year-old Ramon Jesus Steele.

Miranda allegedly drove a car into a tree and then fled the scene on foot, leaving Steele and another passenger in the vehicle.

Steele died from injuries he got during the crash, but the second passenger survived.

Miranda was brought to Pima County Adult Detention Center and booked on charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Death, Manslaughter and Aggravated Assault.
