MACKINAW CITY, MI (WJBK) -

Mini Cooper owners from all over the country are flocking to the Mackinac Bridge today to try and set a world record.

The Mackinac Bridge Authority teamed up with MINI of Grand Rapids in attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest parade of MINIs. The current world record for the most Mini Coopers in a parade is 1,450.

The massive parade will cross the Mackinac Bridge, which is the world's third-longest suspension bridge.

The MBA and event planners used social media to coordinate the massive parade.

We'll update this story as soon as we know the results of the world record attempt.
