Leven Rambin: My Parents Were All The Support I Needed

Posted: Updated:

Being an actress takes a lot more stamina than you'd imagine.

That's according to Leven Rambin, the young actress who made her debut at the rage of 14 on the daytime soap, "All My Children."  She played Lily Montgomery, Erica Kane's (Susan Lucci) stepdaughter who has autism spectrum disorder.  She then played her Lily's half sister on the show, a streetwalker named Ava.

Houston-born Leven is 23 now, and in the years since "All My Children," she's had roles on "Grey's Anatomy," "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," and on the big screen in "The Hunger Games."  Now, Leven is co-starring with Logan Lurman in the new movie, "Percy Jackson:  Sea of Monsters."

Now, about that stamina.

Leven tells Tony McEwing and Maria Sansone on "Good Day LA"  that most people don't realize just how much work and how many long hours it takes to be an actress.  She has an 11-year-old cousin who also wants to be an actress and Leven has invited her to the set so she can see for herself just how much work it is.

Fun Facts About Leven Ramblin:

  • She is best known for playing look-alike half-sisters Lily Montgomery and Ava Benton on All My Children.
  • Leven Rambin was the only actress from All My Children to be nominated for the 34th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. She was nominated for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for her roles of Lily Montgomery and Ava Benton.
  • Leven  has been signed to Wilhelmina Models.
  • She was supposed to return to AMC in August 2011 before the show's ABC network end in September, but her appearance had to be canceled due to a time conflict with her production schedule for her film The Hunger Games.

Sutter Zachman had his first record deal when he was barely out of his teens. You may have seen the Orange County native was on stage at the Largo and other hot clubs around LA. He then left town...after what he called a few "bouts" with the music business, but now he is back with a new EP called ‘Repeat Offender.'
