Why won't they quit? Weiner, Filner staying put despite outcry
By FOX 10 News Staff
Anthony Weiner is not going anywhere. He vows to remain in the race for New York City Mayor despite his sexting scandal -- and a new poll that now shows the former frontrunner is now 4th in the race.
A big drop in support after more embarrassing photos surface. And his campaign manager quit over the weekend. The signs all point to a sinking candidacy, but Weiner says he's not quitting.
And a new poll of San Diego residents says 67 percent want their Mayor Bob Filner to resign after a series of sexual harassment allegations from multiple current and former female employees. But Filner isn't quitting either.
Instead he began 2 weeks of therapy that he says will hopefully change his behavior of sexually demeaning language towards female employees.
Two politicians, clinging on despite embarrassing and sexually charged allegations, despite their constituents overwhelmingly saying they don't want them around.
So why won't they go and what are they thinking? And do they have a psychological problem?
