Push To Get Stronger Continues For Sarah Murnaghan

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

The recovery continues for young Sarah Murnaghan as family and doctors work to help her get stronger each day.

The Delaware County girl's mother continues to provide Facebook updates as she's treated at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

The 10-year-old battling cystic fibrosis received two double lung transplants after a court fight to get on an adult donor list despite being under the age of 12.

"We continue to push getting out of bed and strengthening Sarah's muscles," Janet Ruddock Murnaghan posted to Facebook on Saturday morning.

Speak of a photo that was uploaded with the update, the mother said, "You'll notice the fullness of her face, Thursday kissable cheeks are the result of two things; 1. High dose steroids, and 2. The pressure of the trach ties. Its just an added bonus that there's more of her to kiss!!"

Earlier this week, the Murnaghans posted video of Sarah finally being able to speak to her mother and tell her how she's feeling.

We'll continue to bring you updates on Sarah's condition as they become available.
