A new study says D.C. is the least honest place in the nation.
That's according to the makers of Honest Tea, an organic tea company based in Bethesda.
The company set up booths across the country featuring their products.
It was based on the honor system. Anyone who wanted a bottle of tea was asked to leave a dollar. 80 percent of people who took the tea in D.C., paid for the product.
That's compared to a national average of 92 percent.
As far as other not-so-honest places in our area: West Virginia came in 2nd, Delaware was 6th and Maryland was 7th.
But Virginia ranked as the 19th most honest state.
