No matter if you're trying to freshen up your laundry, get nasty stains out of your carpet, remove odors from your hands or clean your greasy pots and pans -- chances are you don't need to go buy anything to do it!

You probably already have the right kind of products in your house to get the job done. Here are some common household products that have multiple uses which will save you time and money.

Vinegars:

White vinegar is great to clean glass windows, remove toilet hard water stains, eliminate paint odors, ease bug bite itch, add shine to hair and even kill weeds.

Cider vinegar is great for dressings, freshen laundry and serve as natural wasp/hornet killer.

Salt:

Great for soaking up spills on carpets, removing grease buildup in pots and pans, sink drain opener and flower enhancer.

Dryer Sheets:

Great for removing odors in gym shoes, instant room freshener, remove lint from clothes, soap scum remover from shower walls and glass doors.

Toothpaste:

Great for cleaning silver jewelry in a pinch, clean chrome, removing pimples in a pinch, relieve itch from mosquito bites and eliminate garlic and onion odors.
