Police search for 20-year-old woman missing since July 14

Police are asking for help locating a missing woman from the Austin neighborhood.

Twenty-year-old Tiara Groves, of the 1000 block of South Monitor Avenue, has not been seen by family or friends for at least nine days, Chicago Police said in a missing person alert issued Tuesday night.

Groves was last seen at 3 a.m. walking south near the 5900 block of West Roosevelt Road on July 14.

The 5-foot-6 black woman was last seen wearing an orange striped shirt, orange leggings and brown boots, police said. Police said Groves weighs about 140 pounds and has a Tweety Bird tattoo.

Anyone with useful information is asked to call Area North detectives Special Victims Unit at (312) 744-8200.
