MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -

A pair of men thought they made a clean getaway after snatching two Apple iPads from a Macomb Township AT&T Store. But one brave employee wasn't going to let them get away that easily.

Caught on camera, the pair of thieves asked employees at the store around 1:30 p.m. Sunday to purchase iPhones. While they waited, surveillance video shows the pair mulling about before, in sync, yanking the tablets off the display wall and making a run for it out the store's front doors.

A store manager, who wished to remain anonymous, grabbed his keys and went after the crooks, following them down Hall Road and alerting authorities to their whereabouts.

Police were able to pull over the getaway vehicle and arrest all four passengers. The stolen iPads were found under a seat.

"He put himself at risk and shouldn't have," said Kristy Thomas, who works at the store. "But I'm kind of glad he did because he got them caught."

Police says the suspects range in age between 17 and 25. They're expected in court Tuesday to be arraigned on charges of retail fraud, FOX 2's Andrea Isom reports.
