VIDEO: The Legend of El Oso Blanco

ATLANTA -

Evan Gattis has been one of the biggest stories of this season for the Braves, so naturally he needs his own video, right?  It's happening, at the hands of local talent Aaron Chewning"The Legend of El Oso Blanco" was released on YouTube Friday morning.

The latest video by Chewning pays tribute to Gattis, better known to many by the nickname he earned while playing in the Venezuelan Winter League.  In Spanish, "el oso blanco" means "the white bear."

The video begins with Chewning narrating.  "I don't like telling stories, and I ain't one to act," he says.  "But everything I'm about to tell you is a cold, hard fact.  So gather around the fire, and hold your youngin's real tight, because this is the greatest tale you'll hear in all your life."

Chewning directed the video, and he's joined by friends Andrew Averson and Nathan Smith, as well as a cast of others who help him tell his version of Gattis' story.

FOX 5 Sports was the first to bring you a sneak peek at Chewning's latest creation on Thursday night.

You might recognize Chewning's work.  Back in March, he released "The Beasts of the East," in hopes of getting Braves fans pumped up for the 2013 season.  It worked, and the video went viral.  To date, it's been viewed more than 113,000 times on YouTube.

Chewning is also behind "Dream Girl," a tribute to the Atlanta Dream which he released in May.  All three vides have been shot here in Atlanta with the help of Chewning's friends.
