2-Alarm Fire Guts Popular Bucks County Diner

BENSALEM, Pa. -

Fire crews battled a  two-alarm blaze at a popular Bucks County diner for a few hours Friday morning.

The fire broke out just after 6:30 a.m. at the Nifty Fifty's on Street Road in Bensalem.

The diner opens at 6am and there were approximately 15-20 patrons inside of the establishment at the start of the fire.  8 employees were also working in the kitchen and dining room.

Employees tired to put out the fire which seemed to be coming from an attic where supplies were kept.

Unfortunately, the fire spread so fast, they had to evacuate.  Everyone made it safely out of the restaurant.

Firefighters, who had just battled a fire in Bristol in the early hours of the morning arrived on the scene and went to work.

There were no injuries.

The restaurant has been gutted and is a total loss.

Skyfox flew over the scene where it appears the fire is under control.

Several firefighters can be seen re hydrating just outside of the heavily damaged building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
