Police say a 95-year-old man was killed after a driver ran a red light near 64th Street and Camelback.

90-year-old Phyllis Fox and her husband, Morrison Fox, were preparing to turn left when Jordan Wade Walker allegedly ran a red light and collided with the couple's car.

Morrison Fox died from fatal injuries he received during the crash. Phyllis Fox had non-life threatening injuries.

Police say Walker had a suspended license and warrants for numerous traffic violations.

He was cited for causing death while failing to stop for a red signal, arrested for the outstanding warrants and turned over to Mesa Police.

The roadway was closed for two hours during the investigation.

According to officers, speed and impairment weren't factors in the crash.
