Julie Chang Gets The 'Lolita' Makeover

Posted: Updated:

Just as we describe some people as having a "goth" style...or "hip hop" style here in the U.S., Lolita is a style that first began in Japan in the 70's. It's an alternative fashion style that's often roped into the much wider term "Harajuku" style.

But as our Julie Chang found out during this mornings Lolita makeover...being a Lolita has it's own distinctive flair. It's part doll, part European renaissance...and it's a whole lot of cute! So, it's only fitting that girls with serious Lolita flair teamed up with Hello Kitty!

The Lolitas and Hello Kitty are making their debut at this year's ComicCon, which kicks off tomorrow!

With Julie's convincing Lolita style...we think she should head on down to San Diego! She'll certainly stand out amongst the sea of super heros. The folks with Sanrio have extended the invite...but Julie says, she feels too old to be sporting bloomers out in the public!
