To help beat the heat, cooling centers are opening up across the region.
In Prince George's County, centers will open in Camp Springs and New Carrolton.
In Charles County, cooling spots will be in Waldorf, Nanjemoy and La Plata.
In Virginia, Fairfax County residents are urged to cool off at libraries, community centers and the government center.
