Brookhaven swears in officers for new police department

ATLANTA -

The new city of Brookhaven welcomed the officers of its first police force on Monday.

The officers took their oaths of office during a ceremony at the Woodruff Auditorium of The Marist School.

Each officer was sworn in by Brookhaven Mayor J. Max Davis.  

The officers will now begin two weeks of training in preparation for the department start date on July 31.
