DC police searching for 2 suspects in Stanton Road shooting

WASHINGTON -

D.C. police have released surveillance video of two suspects sought in a shooting that left four people wounded Saturday night in Southeast D.C.

The shooting occurred in the 2800 block of Stanton Road at around 9:46 p.m.

On the video, the suspects were seen entering a Metrobus in the area, and when they got off the bus, proceeded to fire shots on the sidewalk before fleeing the area.

One of the suspects is described as a black male, 6’4”, 170 pounds, with black dreadlocks pinned towards the back of his head. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black shirt with a colorful design on the back. He was armed with a handgun.

The other suspect is described as a black male, 5’6”, 160 to 170 pounds, with long black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hat, blue jeans and a white t-shirt.

Anyone with information that can assist in the identification of these subjects is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
