Pro-gun activist Adam Kokesh granted bond

HERNDON, Va. -

Pro-gun activist, Adam Kokesh was granted bond on Monday in Fairfax County Court. The court ordered Supervised Release and Kokesh to not own or possess a firearm until his case is complete.

Kokesh was arrested in his Herndon, Virginia home on July 9th.

On July 4th, the activist posted a video showing him loading a shotgun on D.C.'s Freedom Plaza. Displaying a weapon in D.C. is generally illegal. Because the video shows Kokesh handling the shotgun on federal parkland, U.S. Park Police sought and got a search warrant.

Police also found hallucinogenic mushrooms in his home.

Kokesh was uncooperative with authorities while he was in jail. He refused to be fingerprinted and photographed. He also refused to attend the scheduled bond hearing.
