NORTHVILLE, Mich. (WJBK) -

The 26th annual CATCH Golf Classic teed off Monday morning at the Meadowbrook Country Club in Northville.

The event raises money for CATCH (Caring Athletes Team for Children's & Henry Ford Hospitals). The charity funds programs that improve the lives of sick and injured children at Children's Hospital and Henry Ford Hospital.

The Golf Classic has been voted "Michigan's Best" twice. This year, celebrity participants included former Detroit Tiger Dave Bergman, former Detroit Piston Vinnie Johnson, and former Detroit Lions Quarterback Greg Landry.

CATCH has donated more than $5 million to hospitals since former Detroit Tigers Manager Sparky Anderson founded it in 1987. To donate or learn more about the organization, visit their website at catchcharity.org.
