Ga. man critically injured in hit and run crash

Posted: Updated:

MONROE, Ga. (AP) - Police are searching for a hit & run driver who struck a 76-year-old man as he walked home from a bingo game.

The Georgia State Patrol tells FOX 5 News that William Scarborough, a retired truck driver, was taken to the Atlanta Medical Center and was listed in critical condition after being hit Saturday night.

Scarborough's relatives say he lost his driver's license because of health issues and is known to walk through the neighborhood.

Georgia State Patrol officials say they're searching for a Ford SUV with a missing passenger-side mirror.
