A victim finds her stolen bicycle using social media.

Her bike was stolen in December of last year, but she was determined to get it back. After checking eBay and looking at local bike shops, she joined a group on Facebook called "Philadelphia stolen bikes"and posted information about her bike and the theft.

On July 8th, she got the break in the case when someone within that thousand member Facebook group replied that a bike on Craigslist looked like hers and was being sold for a thousand dollars.

She then emailed the person on Craigslist and asked if the bike was still available. They then set up a time to meet. She contacted police, and they came along with her, in plain-clothes. After confirming that the bike was stolen by matching the bike serial number and description, the police officers arrested the defendant.

The victim now has her bike back and nabbed the person who's suspected of stealing her bike.
