PG Circuit Court chief deputy clerk charged with assaulting boss

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. -

FOX 5 has learned the chief deputy clerk of the Prince George’s County Circuit Court has been arrested for assaulting his boss.

Dr. David Billings III was arrested by the Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office at around 4 p.m. Tuesday and charged with second-degree assault.

According to Prince George’s County officials with knowledge of the incident, Billings got into a heated verbal argument inside their office Tuesday afternoon with Marilynn Bland, Chief Clerk of the Prince George’s County Circuit Court.

The officials tell FOX 5 when Bland turned to walk away, Billings grabbed her, spun her around and assaulted her.

The extent of Bland’s injuries is unknown, but we are told the wounds she received were superficial.
