Police Confirm AWOL Army National Guard Suicide

LOWER POTTSGROVE, Pa. -

Police have confirmed that the Army National Guard member living on the 1300 block of Lynn Drive was found dead in his home.

The firing of a gunshot at the home in Lower Pottsgrove earlier today resulted in a standoff situation and a lockdown of nearby schools and buildings. Police eventually fired stun grenades and sent a robot into the house.

Investigators say that the homeowner was a member of the national guard who went AWOL.
