ATLANTA, Ga. -

Atlanta Braves first baseman and resident hugger Freddie Freeman needs your help if he's going to make an appearance at next week's MLB All-Star Game in New York.  So the question is, will you #VoteFreddie

The Braves (and presumably, Freddie Freeman) hope the answer is yes!  They've launched a campaign-- which is more like a movement here in Braves Country-- to get Freddie that well-deserved spot via 2013 All-Star Game Final Vote.  Using the hashtag #VoteFreddie on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, the Braves hope they're making a push that sends Freddie to the Big Apple.

The Final Vote allows fans to pick the final two All-Stars-- one from the American League, and one from the National League-- by voting online or via text message.  You can vote as often as you like, and on Thursday between the hours of   10 a.m. - 4 p.m., any tweet that includes a designated player hashtag will be tabulated as part of the overall vote total!  One vote per player per tweet (i.e vote for more than one player per tweet, but each tweet has a maximum of one vote for any player).

Here's how you can #VoteFreddie:

TEXT: TEXT N2 TO 89269 (Fans in Canada should text their choices to 101010)

TWITTER (Thursday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. only): Any tweet that includes #VoteFreddie will be a vote for Freeman.  One #VoteFreddie hashtag per tweet will count as a vote-- so tweet lots, because it's one vote per tweet!

The Braves are also encouraging their fans to vote for Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Steve Delabar (#RaisetheBar).  You can text A2 to 89269 for Delabar.

VOTING ENDS AT 4 P.M. THURSDAY (JULY 11)
