2 Police Officers Terminated From Upper Darby's Department

Posted: Updated:
UPPER DARBY, Pa. -

Two officers in Delaware County were taken off the force Friday after an incident was caught on camera.

An incident occurred between three juveniles and the two Upper Darby Township police officers on June 15.

Officers Michael Givens, 39, and Ryan Widely, 32, were terminated effective Friday from the department, according to a news release.

The township's mayor made the announcement Friday but wouldn't get into details about what they did, saying only that the two violated township and police department policies.

There continues to be an ongoing investigation to get to the bottom of this matter, police said in a news release.
