GOODYEAR, Ariz. -

A group of firefighters with the Goodyear Fire Department are driving to Prescott to help the city.

The crew of four firefighters will help the Prescott Fire Department for about 24 hours.

They're one of several departments who are joining together to become a surrogate crew for the city's firefighters.

"Our focus is to allow the Prescott Fire Department to heal, to have that time to get through this stressful time that they're going through right now," said Battalion Chief Russ Brandon.

The Yarnell Hill Fire claimed the lives of 19 of the Granite Mountain Hotshots on Sunday.

Prescott Fire are mourning the loss of about a quarter of their firefighters.
