Long Island sculpted children art project deemed creepy

Posted: Updated:

An art project in one Long Island, New York town is getting some mixed reviews.

Some say statues being placed in area are cute while others think its just plain creepy.

They are carefully placed throughout various neighborhoods as part of an effort called Art Build.

It hopes to bring art to an area that just a few years ago was in need of revitalization.

The artist says he sculpted the children to look like they are playing hide and seek and hopes it will attract people from other areas to come visit.
