Teens critically hurt in violent Florida para-sailing crash

Posted: Updated:
TAMPA, Fla. -

Two teenage girls are fighting for their lives after a horrific para-sailing accident in Panama City, Florida.

Cell phone video posted to YouTube by Newsroom USA shows the crash as it happened on Monday. Police say the parasail line attached to their boat broke loose, sending the two teens hurtling down into a high-rise building.

One of hundreds of on-lookers captured the frightful moments on cell phone video.

Authorities say the two 17-year-old girls are from Indiana. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating the crash. They've cited high winds from a sudden storm as a factor leading to the mishap.
