ANNAPOLIS, Md. -

Maryland will welcome a new governor Tuesday morning!

Well, just for today, at least!

Eight-year-old Genea Harrison from Prince George's County won a contest sponsored by Governor O’Malley.

Genea wrote an essay explaining why she wanted to run the Free State for a day.

But says when she grows up she wants to be a science teacher.

She has a full day ahead of her, including meeting with the Ambassador of Taiwan and will help swear in Maryland’s new Transportation Secretary.
