Police ID suspect in Hillcrest Heights slaying

HILLCREST HEIGHTS, Md. -

Prince George's County police have identified a suspect in a fatal shooting in Hillcrest Heights.

Police are searching for 23-year-old Joshua Jones of Landover. Jones is wanted on a murder charge in the death of 22-year-old Jerome Peters, who was slain early Sunday.

Police say the shooting was domestic-related. According to police, Peters was caring for his young child at a relative's home in Hillcrest Heights when the child's mother arrived along with Jones to pick up the child. Police say the two men argued, and Jones shot Peters.
