Wilmington Residents Deal With Fourth Rain Day

WILMINGTON, Del. -

This is fourth day in a row that the Delaware Valley has been dealing with evening storms. Tonight, another couple of rounds of thunderstorms and heavy rain rolled through Wilmington.

And those rains were enough to officially break a rainfall record for the month of June, at 10.09 inches.

Most of the people FOX 29's Chris O'Connell ran into during the day had one thought: enough is enough.

"The worst thing is getting caught without an umbrella," says one resident.

Meteorologists say that this is the wettest June ever.

"It certainly seems like that, that's for sure," said another resident.

"I fell asleep..I have kids," said another resident, trying to explain why she didn't listen to FOX 29 Chief Meteorologist Scott Williams.

"I guess the rain is always good little bit of stuff. I will say the farmers need some help from time to time. But this is getting ridiculous," reflected resident Greg Shirwell.

"How long do you want me to stand here??" asked another resident, as he stood under an umbrella with O'Connell and tried to wait out the rain.
