Bozie, the 37-year-old female Asian Elephant, made her public debut in the Elephant Community Center at the Smithsonian National Zoo Thursday.

Bozie completed her required 30 days of quarantine on June 21, when she met her two female companions Ambika, 65, and Shanthi, 38, although they were only given visual access to one another.

After the elephants became aquainted with each other's smell, looks and gave Zoo Keepers positive behavioral cues, the elephants were given tactile access through a barrier. On Tuesday the elephants were finally allowed to spend time together in the same enclosure.

Visitors can now see Bozie, Ambika, Shanthi and 11-year-old male Kanula on exhibit at Elephant Trails.
