WASHINGTON -

A car jumped the curb and crashed into a restaurant in the 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Northwest D.C. Tuesday evening.

A black Mercedes smashed into the outdoor dining area of the Central Michel Richard restaurant at around 6:30 p.m., striking several people.

D.C. police say two adults and one boy were taken to the hospital and are in critical condition. We are told that they were customers at the restaurant.

Witnesses also say one of the managers of the restaurant rushed to the child's aid and even revived him before medics were able to arrive.

The driver was also taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. Witnesses say it appeared the driver had some sort of medical emergency.
