WILLIAMS, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a truckload of electronic items stolen off a freight train have been recovered in northern Arizona.

Coconino County Sheriff's officials say deputies spotted suspicious vehicles in the Parks area Saturday.

They followed a U-Haul truck on Interstate 40 which sped off and it was later found abandoned in a hotel parking lot in Williams.

The driver fled into the woods and couldn't be found.

Deputies say several hundred thousand dollars' worth of electronics items were found inside the truck.

The items flat screen TVs, speakers, car stereos and DVD players.

Investigators say the items were reported stolen from a Burlington Northern-Santa Fe train at a location somewhere between Sanders and the Arizona-New Mexico border.

Sheriff's officials said Monday that BNSF authorities have taken custody of the property.
