Chelsea Clinton to kick off Chicago Cares Serve-A-Thon

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A former first family continues to make their mark in Chicago Saturday.

Chelsea Clinton will join Governor Pat Quinn at Daley Plaza Saturday morning to kick off the Chicago Cares Serve-A-Thon, the city's largest day of service.

Chelsea is in town with her parents for the Clinton Global Initiative America conference.

Her mother and former secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton, gave a speech at the conference on Thursday. She has not declared her intention to run for president in 2016, but she's also not shying away from the speculation.

"When women participate in the economy, everyone benefits, this also should be a no-brainer," Clinton said. "When women participate in peacemaking and peacekeeping, we are all safer and all secure. And, when women participate in politics, the effects ripple out across society.".

Friday night, another potential candidate for 2016, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, will deliver the closing remarks at the conference.
