SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

A jury has been seated for the trial of Tucker Cipriano. The teen and his friend are charged with beating Cipriano's father to death with a baseball bat and badly injuring his mother and brother.

It was a tough process. A lot of the potential jurors couldn't handle the questioning by the prosecutor or Cipriano's attorney because they were just too overcome with emotion. Some of the jurors were asked whether they have family members who had experienced contact with the criminal justice system. At least two jurors said yes.

Cipriano's jury will be comprised of eight women and six men.

The jury selection process will start all over again for codefendant Mitchell Young on Thursday.

Meanwhile, we have learned that the prosecution has granted immunity to a witness. The identity of that person is not yet known.

A jury could be picked in the Young case by the end of the week, and testimony could start on Monday.
