Food from the world-renowned Slow's BAR BQ in Detroit, music and plenty of family fun awaits at the 4th annual Motor City Irish Festival happening June 14-16 at Western Graham Field in Redford Twp. next to St. Valentine Church.

Slow's St. Louis-style rib rub

6oz Sweet Paprika
8oz Light Brown Sugar
¼ oz Ground Oregano
1/2oz Allspice
½ oz Cumin
½ oz Cayenne
3oz Kosher Salt
1 ½ oz Chili Powder

Purchase ribs that have been skinned if possible. If not remove the thin membrane on the underside of the rib.
Trim excess fat.
Sprinkle rub on both sides of rib.
Prepare smoker with hickory wood.
Smoke ribs at 225 for four and a half (4 ½) hours.
Can be enjoyed immediately.
