More educators could be indicted in APS cheating scandal

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

Prosecutors say more educators could be indicted in the massive Atlanta Public Schools cheating scandal.

That revelation came during a motions hearing at the Fulton County courthouse on Tuesday.

The former APS deputy superintendent, Kathy Augustine, will be a significant witness for the state. That means that Augustine could testify against her former boss, Dr. Beverly Hall.

So far, 35 educators have been indicted.

The judge booted one defense attorney from the case on Tuesday after he ruled a potential conflict of interest.

The motions hearing will resume on Wednesday.
