The Salt and Pepper Chefs, Terrell Danley and Brian Reeves, share some grilling options for Father's Day.

Brian's Grilled Fruit Sundaes

Serves 2-to-4

Prep time: 5 minutes; cooking time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2-to-4 peaches, cut in halves
  • 2-to-4, ½-inch pineapple slices
  • Vanilla ice cream

Directions

 Heat grill to medium high.

  1. Grill fruit a few minutes.
  2. Top a scoop or two of ice cream w/fruit, favorite toppings.
  3. Enjoy!
  4. Garnishes - sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream and/or favorite toppings
  5. Chef Tee's Grilled Naan Pizza

Serves 1 to 2

Prep time: 5 minutes; cooking time: 5-to-10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 naan         
  • Olive oil
  • Favorite pizza toppings (tomato slices, pepperoni, Italian sausage, bell peppers, etc.)             
  • 2 Tbsps. basil, roughly chopped
  • 2 Tbsps. goat cheese, crumbled or ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese          
  • Baby Arugula Salad (see recipe)

Directions

  1. Heat grill to medium high.
  2. Brush oil on one side of naan; top oiled side w/rest of ingredients except salad.
  3. Put naan, topping side up, on hot grill; cook covered until naan bottom is charred, cheese melts (about 5-to-10 minutes).
  4. Serve w/Baby Arugula Salad (optional) (see recipe below)

Chef Tee's Baby Arugula Salad

Makes 3-to-4 cups

Prep time: 5 minutes; no cooking time

Ingredients

  • 3-to-4 cups baby arugula
  • Juice from ½ orange
  • 1 tsp. orange zest
  • ½ cup rice wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In large bowl, add all ingredients except baby arugula; whisk together.
  2. Add baby arugula; toss until leaves are lightly coated w/vinaigrette.
