School districts across the Detroit area will be providing free summer meals to any child between the ages of 2-18 through the Summer Food Service Program, a federally subsidized program created to ensure all children continue to receive nutritious meals during the summer.

The program begins in June across the area and runs throughout the summer.

To learn more about the program, call 1-866-3-HUNGRY or log on to www.mcgi.state.mi.us/schoolnutrition.
