LAUREL, Md. -

Prince George’s County authorities are investigating two Laurel area fires they believe were deliberately set.

Investigators believe the two fires have similarities to seven others that have been under investigation since March.

The first incident happened on Thursday, May 30, around 3:35 pm when playground equipment in the 14100 block of Bowsprit Lane was set on fire.

The second incident occurred less that twelve hours later at the former Bay N' Surf Restaurant in the 14400 block of Baltimore Avenue which has been vacant since 2007.

The City of Laurel has posted a reward of up to $10,000 for anyone that provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of whoever may be responsible for these crimes of Arson.
