Storms roll through Georgia Sunday

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

A line of showers moved through north Georgia and metro Atlanta on Sunday bringing heavy rain, high winds, lightning and hail.

The storms knocked down trees on Samia Drive in Duluth and Canyon Creek Trail in Sandy Springs.

Fire officials say lightning sparked a fire that gutted a house on Deville Circle in Suwanee.

In northwest Atlanta, downed trees blocked much of the roadway at Moore's Mill Road and Ridgewood.  Georgia Power crews were still working Monday morning to try and restore service to customers in that area.

Reports of localized flooding also have been reported to the FOX 5 Storm Team, but no major damage as a result.
