Beer lovers are buzzing over Philadelphia Beer Week

"Philly Beer Week is the place to be."

As the  "Hammer of Glory" made its way thru the city to Nodding Head Brewery, excitement for  the ten day suds celebration swelled.

For me it is my Christmas," said home brewer Tara Durkin. "I take a whole week off of work for it."

"We had our  original meetings about beer week right over there," Nodding Head owner Curt Decker said as he pointed to a table in his brewery. He  helped start the event six years ago.

"It's  bringing a lot of people into the  city that are spending money staying in hotels, eating in restaurants and it's  good for the city."

Cindy Rabideau's love of beer brought her into the city from Glenolden, Delaware County.

Anne Barney danced around Nodding Head after making the trip from Gloucester City, New Jersey.

"I  was in Boston last week. You cant get the kind of beer you can here.
Philly is the best spot  for any kind of craft beer," said Barney.

"I  love craft beer and I  love the whole atmosphere of Philly Beer Week. It's awesome," said Rabideau.

Mayor Michael Nutter's opening tap at Independence Visitor Center Friday night  marked the official start to beer week. 260 bars and restaurants with tastings,  brewery tours and other events.

A celebration of Philly's beer culture--that's helping  it to earn the nickname the City of Brotherly Suds.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
