Man Found Dead After Allentown Fire Identified

Posted: Updated:
ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A fire in Allentown led firefighters to the body of a 46-year-old male in an apartment building Thursday.

Richard Chaparro's body was found after the fire, but investigators don't believe that his death was caused by it.

The medical examiner is currently waiting for a toxicology report before confirming the actual cause of Chaparro's death.

Flames broke out along the 2400 block of South Fourth Street just before 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning. Investigators say that a faulty ceiling fan may have caused the fire.
