Vehicle fleeing police collides with school bus in the District

WASHINGTON -

A vehicle fleeing police collided head-on with a school bus in the District Thursday.

The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. in Prince George’s County. Officers say a vehicle in the 2200 block of Seaton Place in District Heights fled from police as they attempted to make a stop.

According to authorities, the two occupants of the car were suspected of stealing the vehicle during a carjacking.

The subjects in the car fled into D.C. where they struck a school bus in a head-on collision in the 500 block of Ridge Road in the southeast.

Two children and two adults were on the bus.

One adult and one child were hospitalized as a precaution.

Officers say one of the men in the vehicle was arrested. The other is unaccounted for at this time.
